History and Mission

The Faculty Development and Instructional Resources Center (FDIRC) was established in 2005, and is a division of the Fu-Jen Catholic University Office of Academic Affairs. Since then, we have won grants from Ministry of Education for 4 years. Our role is to support faculty ongoing development, instructional design, using of technology, and the Teaching Excellence Project. Our team collaborates with the Distance Educational Committee and the Committee of Instructional Design and Interactive Evaluation to assist Fu-Jen faculty on the front line. Our missions are to:

1) support faculty professional development
2) publish research on faculty development, and reflection and action on teaching
3) integrate and apply university-wise instructional resources
4) foster e-learning environment in campus
5) promote faculty's knowledge of instructional design and computer literacy
