The FDIRC has implemented the Teaching Assistant System for more than 2 years, and we have trained more than 3400 qualified TAs. We hold workshops for teaching  assistants each semester to cultivate teaching skills and knowledge. Topics of workshops include teaching tips, instruction on software and school e-learning platforms ( iCan & join-net). We have offered workshops for teaching assistants as follows:
1.2007-2008: 14 training sections
2.2008-2009: 20 training sections
3.2009-1010: in progress

Main purpose:
1. Reduce overloaded instruction hours for faculty members
2. Promote teaching quality
3. Support TAs' self-improvement

How to apply:  Teaching assistant applicaitons implement are due in  May~ June and December~ January. Instructors can apply for teaching assistants from the department they belong to. 

Outcomes:
2007-2008: We trained 1535 qualified teaching assistants
2008-2009: We trained 1961 qualified teaching assistants
2009-1010: in progress
