FDIRC sponsors annual awards and grants for faculty members. Two grants and one award are listed as follows:
A. Grants: Grant of Teaching Material Design and Development & Grant of Professional Teaching Community
B. Award: Outstanding Teaching Award

1. Grant of Teaching Material Design and Development (GTMDD)
All full-time Fu Jen faculty members can apply for GTMDD, and an individual case could receive a maximum grant of US$4285.
Main Purpose
A. Encourage teachers to develop multiple teaching models
B. Motivate student-centered instruction
C. Enhance social involvement and practice
D. Promote teachers to create interactive materials

May, 2008: GTMDD information announcement
Sep, 2009: GTMDD Acceptance notification
Jan, 2010: GTMDD Ceremony and Exhibition
Outcomes
2008: 15 courses were supported by the GTMDD.
2007: 11 courses were supported by the GTMDD

2. Grant of Professional Teaching Community (PTC)
The one-year-based grant is applicable to a teaching team which should include 3 to 5 faculty members. The teaching community could have:
1) a school dean and other faculty from the same school or department
2) faculty members from different but related subject areas
3) teachers who share a similar teaching philosophy.
In addition, within the community, they should elect a mentor. Mentors can be a full-time professor, assistant professor or department-recommended instructor.
Main Purpose
A. Promote inter disciplinary or cross-subject knowledge exchanges and teaching
B. Facilitate peer interaction and professional development

May-August: 2008: Announce PTC information and submission
Sep 15, 2009: PTC acceptance notification
Oct 9, 2009: Panel Discussion
Jan 8, 2010: Project Sharing Workshop
Outcomes
2009: 5 PTCs were established

3. Outstanding Teaching Award (OTA)
All full-time Fu-Jen faculty members can apply for OTA, and the Committee of Instructional Design and Interactive Evaluation decides on qualified faculty.
Main Purpose
A. Encourage teachers to try new teaching methods and reflect on their teaching to adapt to students' needs
B. Motivate other teachers to share their model teaching

2008: 5 teachers won the OTA
2007:15 teachers won the OTA
